The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional sassa status office devoted to service the area every day. The provider issue produced for intervention encounters a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes status sassa it tricky for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to permit the servicing of all customers and enhance access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
